| Recently I was able to travel to a beautiful place. Not Europe, Asia, or Africa. The dream destinations of many seem to be in far away lands, but I was lucky enough to experience a part of this country that everyone should: New Orleans.
To say that the Crescent City has had more than its share of catastrophe recently would be an understatement, but the people there have been doing their damndest to restore an American treasure. The task that lies ahead is daunting, but in my heart I know the people of NOLA will handle with care this gem of our heritage. New Orleans is a city that truly reflects the concept of our melting pot society. I hope that my photographs do some justice to the beauty that I witnessed in my all too brief visits, and that they might help inspire renewed interest and involvement in its continuing rebirth. Id like to thank all the people who made my stay a special time. Id also like to tell everyone that I know what it means to miss New Orleans. |
